The Strawberry Festival is one of Roanoke's most popular and well-known events. Always held the first weekend in May, rain or shine, the Strawberry Festival brings the community together amid an atmosphere of good, old-fashioned, family fun. Strawberry Festival signals the beginning of summer and the festival season for residents of the Roanoke Valley. Families, young professionals, and kids of all ages come out for two fun-filled days of scrumptious berry-filled treats, children's games and activities, live musical entertainment, food and arts and crafts vendors. Hours: Friday May 1st, 10:00 am - 5:30 pm; Saturday May 2nd, 10:00 am - 4:00 pmInformation:
