Craft Shows, Fairs, and Festivals in Rhode Island | March 2009 |
In Rhode Island, vendor events, craft shows, fairs, and festivals abound, making any visit a potentially eventful one. One of the many exciting Rhode Island fairs and festivals is the Newport Winter Festival, held at various locations throughout Newport County. There are over a hundred and sixty events, all in all, making the Newport Winter Festival the biggest winter celebration in New England. Food, music, and entertainment for all ages including a chili cook-off and a Beatle Mania concert make the festival truly special and fun. Other Rhode Island fairs and festivals include the Gaspee Days Celebration at Warwick, the East Farm Spring Festival at Kingston, and the Block Island May Fair.
One interesting event out of the many Rhode Island craft shows is the Providence Open Market, held along Westminster Street in Providence. A true celebration of the community, the Open Market features many different groups working together to provide a cozy, worthwhile shopping experience. Offering healthy foodstuffs, handcrafted goods and designer wares, the Providence Open Market showcases local talents and production. Other Rhode Island craft shows include the Narragansett Art Festival, the Le Moulin Fall Harvest Craft & Vendor Fair at Woonsocket, the Scituate Art Festival, and Craftland, also at Providence.
How can I make application to sell my whimsical art sculptures at the the Providence Open Market, and the Newport Winter Festival.
Thank you.
