Now if you have been here before or to the Festival, you know who, what and where we are...Now if you been missing this Festival here is a little explanation on who, what and where we are: Cooter is just a neat nickname for what you Yankees ( folks who live above Columbia) call a turtle...We call 'em Cooters here in Allendale, South Carolina! Now with that out of the way, here is what you found... In South Carolina we not only watch 'em on logs, we also catch 'em, race 'em, and sometimes eat 'em. The Fastest Cooter In the Race wins 1000.00, and the slowest sometimes get turned into Cooter Stew ( NOT REALLY PETA FOLKS...IT's A JOKE) Forget Nascar, if you've never been to a ""COOTER RACE"" then you haven't been to a REAL race.Information:
