David McArthur Music

David McArthur was born into an Air Force family in Goldsboro, NC and raised in Valdosta, GA. He grew up in a traditional home that valued Christianity and music. David earned a full scholarship from the Marine Corps and graduated from the University of Florida. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and while stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola, David married a hot local girl -- Jill. She is the inspiration for much of his original music. David and Jill have two sons, a daughter and too many animals to mention. David’s service in the Marines included travel all over the world: Greece, Italy, Turkey, Russia, Thailand, Australia, Hawai’i and lesser known places like the Azores and Pago Pago (you win a prize if you know where that is.) Music has always been a part of his life whether playing on the side of a career or as a full-time musician. He has written numerous songs. His slogan is “Country music that won’t embarrass your mamma” indicating a return to the morals and traditions of the good old days of country. He sings, plays piano, guitar, bass guitar and on the more obscure side (believe it or not) Great Highland Bagpipes and bodhran. In 2015 David was privileged to join Nashville record label Spin Doctors Music Group (SMG Nashville). His first album was released in 2014 entitled Country Beautiful. His first radio single was Local Honey which is a fun laid-back biopic featuring internationally acclaimed Bob Bryant on acoustic bass. David invites everyone to join him in returning to the honorable themes that first made country music great. God bless.
