Self-taught artist born and raised in Louisville, Georgia now living with my husband in Savannah,Georgia. Retired May 2016 from 27 years of teaching physical education (K-5). Member/instructor of the Jefferson County Arts Guild since 2001. All of my art has been in exhibits both individually and collectively with other artist. My media varies from wire,mixed media,painting,& collage and I use reclaimed wood for many of my canvases. The subject of my art centers around nature,landscapes,creatures with an impressionistic style and a 3 - dimensional aspect. I love to take recyclable materials or discarded items and re-purpose them in my work. Watching both my dad and grandmother do this growing up, continues to influence my style of art. I am constantly evolving and perfecting my style. I find great inspiration in what other artist create.
