Pee Dee Senior Life Expo

The 18th Annual Senior Life Expo is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 12th & 13th in the Arena at the Florence Civic Center. One of the largest shows in the state for senior citizens, baby boomers and retirees, the Expo will feature 45,000 square feet of exhibit space plus free entertainment, demonstrations, seminars, bingo, food, fun and prizes. Attendees at this year's event can expect wider aisles, spacious seating and more booths and exhibits to visit. The Senior Life Expo is, without a doubt, the retirement event of the year. The Expo focuses on informing, educating and entertaining people 55 and older who are approaching their retirement years or are already retired. Persons visiting the Expo can browse among the many exhibits, register for prizes, sample Eggland's Best omelets and discover new ideas for making retirement life healthier and more rewarding. Representatives and professionals in the fields of banking, healthcare, investments and estate planning, long-term care, insurance, senior housing, assisted living, home security, home health services, pre-need planning, hospice and elder-law will e on hand to offer guidance and answer questions for retirees, caregivers and those planning their retirement. Staff from Carolinas Hospital System will offer free health checks, medical advice and conduct informative question and answer sessions and seminars. Attendees can also hear presentations and ask questions to physicians, investment counselors and elder-law attorneys. If your company targets seniors, the fastest growing segment of the population, this show is for you. Vendor applications are available for persons or companies that market to seniors and retirees (i.e. insurance, estate planning, hospice, travel opportunities, home security, medical, healthcare and diabetic supplies, scooters, lift chairs, employment opportunities and more). Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $2.00.
