After studying at the DuCret School of Art in New Jersey and taking courses at the New York Institute of Photography, I ended up with a degree in Computer Science and spent 25 years in as an Information Technology Specialist catering to Wall Street Financial Institutions. Retiring from my career in 2010, I was presented with a digital Olympus C5050Z point-and-shoot. Since then I have re-engaged my artistic side, upgrading my equipment every few years; a Nikon Coolpix P520 in 2013, a Canon EOS Rebel T6i in 2017, and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II in 2019, and my philosophy has morphed into "have camera will shoot." Being an outdoorsy person I especially like landscapes and, as a very amateur astronomer, night-sky photography - but anything very colorful or otherwise eye-catching will get me shooting. Home-based in Lords Valley, Pennsylvania I travel around the Continental US with my husband and Newfoundland from late fall to mid-spring, visiting National Monuments, National and State Parks, and Historical Landmarks, and capturing scenes portraying deserts, oceans, lakes, rivers, mountains, wildlife, flowers, and anything else possible. Heat, sun, rain, fog - no matter, I lam inspired!
